How does motorhome rental work?

Renting a motorhome is easy:

1. book your preferred dates and motorhome model. You can also contact us or send an enquiry.
2. You will soon receive a reply about the availability of the motorhome.
3. Pay the advance payment to confirm your motorhome booking
4. Pick up the motorhome at our location on the agreed date
5. Enjoy your trip
6. Return the motorhome to our location on the agreed date.

What are the standard costs, or the costs of preparation, pickup and return?

The standard costs include everything listed below:

• Registration/booking
• Double comprehensive insurance with Zavarovalnica Triglav roadside assistance (flat rate)
• Preparing the motorhome before your pickup and a final check of all systems (electrics, water, air conditioning, engine,…)
• Disinfection
• Pickup and instructions for safe, carefree use of the motorhome (we show you the whole motorhome and teach you how to use it, checking all systems and functions together)
• Full gas bottle (propane – butane)
• Toilet chemicals
• Biodegradable toilet paper
• Slovenian e-vignette (flat rate)
• Exterior wash
• Final interior cleaning
• Handover at the end of the rental and final inspection of the motorhome

Do I have to pay a deposit before I pick up the motorhome?

When you pick up the vehicle, you must pay or transfer a deposit of 800 EUR to 2.500 EUR, which is refunded when you return the motorhome undamaged.

The deposit is used to pay for:

• the 1% deductible in the event of an accident or theft of the vehicle,
• loss of the insurance no-claims bonus,
• missing or damaged equipment,
• costs that arise from not complying with the RENTAL TERMS, rules, laws and other regulations.

How is the motorhome insured?

The motorhome has basic third-party liability insurance (AO) and double comprehensive insurance (rent a car) with a 1% deductible. It also has Premium roadside assistance and a green card.

Can there be extra costs during the rental?

The motorhome has basic and double comprehensive insurance (rent a car) with Zavarovalnica Triglav d.d., with a 1% deductible. It also has Premium roadside assistance and a green card.

• if you return the vehicle damaged or with missing equipment
• for traffic offences committed during the rental
• if you exceed the mileage limit (from 100km/day to 350km/day – depending on the motorhome), an extra charge of 0,30 EUR/km
• if you return the motorhome late
• if you do not comply with other rental terms
• if the fuel tank is not filled enough when you return the motorhome
• if the interior of the motorhome is not cleaned or is poorly cleaned, cleaning is charged from 20,00 EUR to 70,00 EUR

Can I rent a motorhome for a weekend?

Of course! We have weekend packages for motorhome rental from just 250 EUR + pickup and standard costs. Pickup on Thursday at 14:00, return on Monday by 12:00.

Is the mileage limited?

Yes, the mileage is limited to 100 km/day to 350 km/day (depending on the motorhome) and is added up over the whole rental. Total distance: the number of kilometres driven divided by the number of rental days should not exceed 100 km/day to 350 km/day. If you exceed it, an extra charge of 0,30 EUR/km applies.

Can we travel by motorhome in winter too?

Of course you can! Go skiing by motorhome or take a carefree winter trip. All our motorhomes are adapted and prepared for winter travel too, thanks to better insulation and extra insulation of the cab. Truma gas heating (propane) or Truma E (220V) and electric underfloor heating (220V) mean you will not feel cold even at -20C. Your skis and "ski boots" will stay dry and warm in the heated garage, ready for the next day on the slopes. Check the availability of our winter-ready motorhomes and book yours.

How fast can I drive a motorhome?

The recommended speed depends on the type or model of motorhome. For example: with an alcove motorhome we recommend driving at up to 110 km/h. With a semi-integrated or integrated motorhome, up to 120 km/h. With a camper van or VW California, up to 130 km/h.

In what condition should I return the motorhome?

When you return the motorhome, make sure that:

• the waste water has been emptied
• the toilet has been thoroughly cleaned 
• the toilet cassette has been emptied and cleaned
• the fuel tank is full (you also receive it full)
• the motorhome has been roughly cleaned, which means it is ready for a thorough cleaning. Interior cleaning costs from 20,00 EUR to 70,00 EUR, depending on how clean the motorhome is.
• if you return the motorhome clean (as it was at pickup), no interior cleaning is charged.
• if the interior of the motorhome needs chemical cleaning (extremely dirty interior, seats, beds, curtains,..), the cost is 300,00 EUR

Do the motorhomes have a tow bar?

Some of our motorhomes have a tow bar. Rent a motorhome with a tow bar to carry all kinds of things, for example: boats, race cars, motorbikes, jet skis, horses and much more… The tow bar is type-approved and has a Euro socket. Can I leave my car at the pickup location?

Your car can wait with us while you rent the motorhome.

Can I drive all motorhomes with a category B driving licence?

You can drive all our motorhomes with a category B driving licence, as none exceeds 3.5 tonnes gross weight.
